Case loves musical cards. He got his first one from his Mamaw, Aunt Brenda, and Aunt Sissie in December. He got a few for Christmas and his birthday - here are the ones he had before his actual birthday. He likes to open them and walk around listening to them.
So I survived graduate school. Trying to survive being a wife, mom, and chemistry professor. I know I'm still a chemistry nerd that sometimes teeters too close to the stress. What better way to deal than to blog?

My Birthday
I had a great birthday this year (as usual thanks to Josh). I had already gotten a massage, and my Chi straightener was on its way. Josh got me a pretty OC dressy shirt I can wear for work and a book about OC. Then the three of us went for breakfast. We had a good time. Later, Josh and I went to the movies - our favorite date!

Hello Professor,
Where is the classroom? I haven't been able to find it. I heard it has a green door, but that hasn't helped any. I have a class right before this class so I can't just be wandering aimlessly around the campus looking for your classroom. Please email me ASAP about where to find your class.

Church Story
Now that Case is mobile, church worship is becoming more of a challenge. I think he thinks, I love to walk so why can't I walk around during that quiet hour when everyone is sitting?
He's figuring out that there are rules during that time, and for the most part, he's doing great. Today, we visited our old congregation that we worshipped with when we lived here before. They have worship first followed by bible class. Case usually sleeps during worship, but with the switch, he was wide awake! Considering that, he did really well.
He only told his little friend Tulle, "No!" once (when she was reading one of his books), only yelled once (when Tulle was reading his favorite book "Counting Doggies", and threw one fit at the end. Of course, we blame the preacher. Haha, just kidding. We told the preacher that after worship. He had offered the invitation, but he kept preaching another 10 minutes or so. It was like Case thought like the rest of us that it was almost time for bible class, but he had to sit there longer. Another 10 minutes was unacceptable. Or so he thought.
