6 Months!

Liam Benjamin turned 6 months yesterday. Wow, its flown by!

The first two pictures are of Case when he was 6 months. I think the boys' baby pictures are starting to look different now that we hit the 6 month point. Of course, you can tell who their Daddy is!

Big Boy

Yes, that's right...Casen is using the computer at the library. He dug the Curious George story and game.

Where to Play When Its Scorching Outside....

Last week was extremely hot. Thankfully, it has cooled back down this week. April and I took the kids to a cool indoor place to play - it was pretty neat. You paid one price for your kid (I didn't have to pay for Liam since he's so young) and can come and go all day. They have painting, face-painting (our kids passed on that scary drama!), play-dough table, chalk table, a huge playground, a treehouse playground, a pirate ship, dress-up clothes, sandbox, and a train set. Whew! What a cool place!

As soon as we got there, Heidi made a beeline to the dress-up clothes, Case went to the balls.

The blonde little girls in the pictures were cute little twins that liked Liam and liked to scare Casen with a Darth Vader mask. Case wasn't scared though - he just laughed at those silly girls.

With Dad

Father's Day evening, Jordan and I took Dad out to eat for dinner. Josh and Mom watched the boys. We all had a good time.

Airshow

We went to the airshow for Father's Day afternoon. They had several jets and planes that you could go up into and see. Case liked "driving" the planes. He DID NOT like how loud the jets were that day. He still talks about how loud the planes were. He never did cry though - just would hunker down in your arms during the noise. Liam slept through most of the loudness. It sure was hot though - can you tell from the pictures?

Father's Day Morning

We had a good start to Father's Day. Josh opened his gifts (Case is wearing it-he thought it was for him). Case is explaining something to Josh in that picture - we call him Professor when he does that. He's very matter-of-fact and uses his hands to explain. Somehow, we got ready early and had time for pictures beforehand. We were STILL early so I even got to get coffee on the way to church. What??!! How did this happen? I think somehow we gained an extra hour in our home that morning.

Chicken Davis Band

We went Saturday to Duncan to see Josh's dad play in one of his bands. We had a good time seeing family and listening to the music. Case was excited to see PawPaw play the guitar. Liam just liked being held : )

Conversation

After Casen's bath, he plays "Baby." He wants to be rocked in his towel, and we exclaim, "I found a baby!" Then we guess his name. Tonight:

Me: Are you Baby Moses? (We've been watching a LOT of Veggie Tales Mo and the Big Exit.)

Casen: Yes. Waa Waa (baby crying)

Me: (As I continue rocking him) Are you going to save God's people like Moses did when you grow up?

Casen: No.

Me: What are you going to do when you grow up?

Casen: Play!

Look What Liam Can Do!

Where has the time gone?

Liam can now drink out of a cup (or a plastic bottle) of water pretty well now.
He has an iron grip on the cup or bottle.

He can feed himself now when he wants.

We had to put the bumper pads up in his crib because he was hitting his head while moving around so much in bed. Before too much longer, we're going to have to lower the crib some more. He pulled up onto his knees a couple of days ago by pulling on a blanket I had over my legs when I was sitting on the couch.

He can sit up well. He is really close to crawling. He gets so frustrated when he gets stuck.

He turns 6 months in a week. I can't believe he's already that old!
