Brother Cuddles

This morning, Case wanted to play "Night-Night" with Liam. So Case held Liam in his arms on the couch underneath the blanket. Every once in awhile, both boys would find the TV. Both boys were quite the cuddlers today with me. Maybe its the rain. Whatever the reason, I enjoyed it.

Spring Days

Though today doesn't reflect it, spring is here. We've enjoyed being outside more. Case loves to run and play outside. Liam loves to sit outside and watch Case play.

Liam Update

The L Child is getting big fast. Josh came home with this jumparoo last week. He got a bargain at a garage sale and Liam loves it! He hasn't jumped yet (even with a book underneath him), but likes "standing" up. Here are some things Little Ben has been doing:

He will be eating, hear somebody talking, stop, lift his head and look around until he finds who talked, then say something to that person. Then he goes back to eating.

He also likes to have his bottles sitting up most of the time so he can look around while he eats. When he nurses, he likes to take breaks so he can "socialize". Apparently, I have another extrovert on my hands. I'm surrounded by them in this household!

Liam laughs now - but only his Daddy and Bunny can really get him going thus far.

Liam LOVES LOVES watching Casen and having Casen play with him. That's usually when he's the happiest. He just smiles and lets Casen do whatever he wants to do - roughly snuggle with him, kiss him, or shout in his face. As long as L Child is getting attention from his big brother, he doesn't care what they do.

He watches people eat...and gives these sad puppy looks like he REALLY wants to have some of that yummy food. My policy of "no solid food this early" has truly been tested with Liam. Case wasn't interested in table food until he was close to a year old. I was never tempted to give him a bit of icecream. He was happy as a clam to just nurse for months. Not Liam. So I went ahead and tried cereal, but he hasn't taken to it yet. Could be that he's holding out for something yummier!

Finally, Liam can stand a long time and scoot on his back a bit. And I'm pretty sure he's teething - you can see the white teeth under his gums and he just chews on his hands (sometimes sucking on his fingers and thumb even).

Easter Sunday

Dyeing Eggs and Another Hunt

Casen was old enough to color eggs this year....and Liam is big enough to sit in the high chair. Big day!

Case LOVED finding the eggs we would take turns hiding. He didn't get the concept of hiding the eggs for us yet though - I bet next year he will! The eggs got all cracked up because Case would just drop them into his Easter bucket or into the dye cup. As you can see from the picture, it added character to them : )

Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday morning we took the boys to OC for an Easter Egg Hunt. There was also inflatables and face-painting, but Case would have any of that!

Casen took 2 baskets to the hunt - he thought he needed to use both his and Liam's baskets. Casen made out like a bandit.

Visiting Baby Gavin...

...oh and everyone else too! Last week we went to the hospital to see Baby Gavin hours old. We got to visit them all at home last night. Case played with all the "new" toys and Steven. Liam got to play with Gavin's toys too and got to be held by his Grammy and by his JuJu too. I tried to get the 3 kids together to take pictures, but that didn't work. I did get quite a few of Gavin (as you can see - isn't he precious!!??) and some of Liam and Gavin. Liam is about 3 months older than Gavin. I already can't imagine Liam being Gavin's size but their birth weights were about the same (8 lbs). I think I made Gavin finally cry by all the pictures I was taking! Sorry Mama!

We learned another of Jourdan's secret talents - she can hitchhike with her toes!

We had a good time - both of my boys went down to bed there. That's a first for Liam going to bed somewhere other than home. Another milestone!

Oh, and one more thing...I would like to just say that I'm a bit jealous of Jourdan. She looks great and she's getting around awesome after only a week of giving birth to Gavin. I think I'm zombie-like in all the pictures taken the first 6 weeks!

3 Months Old

Liam loves to sit and look around now. This picture was taken on his 3-month-old birthday. As you can see, he can wiggle around in his bumbo seat. This past week, he started scooting around on the floor. He is getting big fast! He can't wait until he can follow Case around. That's when he is the happiest - when he is watching Case play or Case comes over to talk to him.

McDonalds Fun

Case spent the night with Immie and had a Green Eggs and Ham Time. The next morning, Liam and I met Case and Immie at McDonalds. Then Josh joined us later (there's a picture of Case watching for Daddy through the window). Case is getting really brave now about the playground. He went all the way up to the top and went belly down-head first down the slide. Big Boy!
